Padmaavat Movie review

IMDb rating :- 7.4/10

Padmaavat is one of the finest Indian movie ever made in Indian history. From dialogues to the screenplay everything is up to the mark. One can only stand and applaud the work done by the whole Padmaavat team. The movie was protested because it was questioned that Rajputs will not be shown in the manner they  are required to be or some of the things which are not done in the Rajputi culture will be depicted. But after watching the movie the only  thing that can be said is Rajputs will be more proud after they will watch the movie because Bhansali  has fully glorified the Rajputi culture in it. The Rajputi culture, their mightiest bravery, their mannerism, their way to respect the women, their own pride is fully  described in the movie. Even at the end you will get  so many goosebumps that you will not be able to leave the theatre till the end. In the conclusion of the review I can only say that this movie is a must to watch movie and if you have cinemas nearby your location then book your tickets now for Padmaavat

What is the Real Story of Rani Padmavati ?

It is the real story of Rani Padmavati of Chittor and Alauddin Khilji who got mad in love with her. This story got so much popular in Medieval age  that a Full Book of Padmaavat got written on it. Rani Padmavati was married to the King of Chittor Maharaja Ratan Singh who had a singer named Raghav Chetan in his court room. Due  to some reason he was thrown out of the kingdom. To take the revenge he went to Alauddin Khilji who was in Delhi and started telling him about the magnificent beauty of Rani Padmavati. Khilji got so much mesmerized by Chetan’s words that he decided to go to Chittor. There he sent a letter to Ratan Singh that he consider Rani as his sister and therefore wants to meet her. Although Ratan Singh knew all about Khilji, but to save his kingdom from Khilji he agreed. Rani also got agreed to meet Khilji but only by means of a shadow. Khilji was made to stand in a castle, a mirror was placed in front of him, the mirror showed the image of the small water body which was below the castle. Rani then stood at one side of the water body and her image after multiple reflections was seen by Khilji. He got so much affectionate by her looks that he decided to make her his own wife and thus captured Ratan Singh and demanded Rani from him. Some members of Ratan Singh set him free but due to this Khilji  got so furious that he attacked Ratan’ kingdom. Ratan Singh lost his life in the battle. Due to this Rani thought that Khilji would now kill all the men of Chittor so she decided to sacrifice her life by jumping into the fire bed and sacrifice her life. She did it along with other women of Chittor. Khilji won the battle but when he went into the castle he could only see the burnt ashes and nothing more.

Protest  against the Padmaavat or padmavati movie

GD Goenka School Bus was pelted with stones, some buses were torched in  Sohna, roads are blocked too. In Delhi cars were burnt in Maurya Enclave. Traffic was blocked on Delhi-Jaipur highway and Delhi-Ajmer Highway. Many more acts of vandalism were reported from states like Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and in national capital Delhi too. The movie is even banned to get released in Gujarat , Rajasthan, Goa. Some protesters even announced to give huge money as reward to those who would behead the director and the main cast members

Is this really a way to protest against a movie

Is this really good to revolt so much against Padmaavat (Padmavati) movie. If people gets so much hurted due to some movie which is being judged before the release then a question must be asked to those people that where does their emotions goes when cases like rape, sexual harassment, domestic violence, kidnapping etc occurs. People are fighting for the pride of the Rani, okay that is accepted but where are those people gone when a girl or a women begs for justice, respect and pride everyday in front of their  eyes.  Do they get deaf, dumb and blind at that time.

Is it right?

In my opinion, I  consider  it totally as a inhumane. One do has got the right to speak against something but no one has the right to burn buses or destroy public property. If one want to raise one’s voice  then one  can but not by doing such kind of nuisance.
